Our forest ecosystems are vulnerable. Especially on sandy soils, vitality and biodiversity are under great pressure due to climate change, nitrogen deposition, acidification, desiccation, heat, insufficient variation in species, age, forest structure and due to wildlife pressure.
LIFE Climate Forest offers the opportunity to show the variety of protection measures against wildlife damage and the associated visions of managers side by side in the same forest area. This is with the aim of sharing and spreading knowledge. At the same time, this offers the opportunity to monitor the effectiveness of the protective measures.
